Reflexology for Babies and Children - something I am passionate about!
As you may or may not know - I am a qualified teacher with years of experience working at the Early Years and Primary level. In reflexology, I have experience of treating up to teenagers.
Did you know that colic, reflux, asthma, hay fever, anxiety, autism and ADHD are just some conditions that reflexology can support?
Top Five reasons given for the use of reflexology by parents*:
Constipation
Disturbed sleep
Glue Ear
Constant illnesses - poor immunity
Hyperactivity and sensory seeking behaviour
As reflexology is a natural therapy, it is great for children of all ages from babies up! The gentle techniques seem to help soothe babies, calm toddlers, relax anxious children and improve the mood of challenging teenagers.
"Many children might benefit from reflexology, but oftentimes their parent(s) cannot imagine their rebellious, hormonally-challenged teenager lying on a treatment plinth for reflexology with a stranger - so it never occurs to them to even try!"
"So next time your stressed-out client comes to see you, suggest to them that perhaps they should consider reflexology for their “terrible” three year old through to their turbulent teen – it certainly might make for a calmer family life!"

It is an AoR requirement for all clients under the age of 16 to be accompanied to the appointment by someone with parental responsibility for that child, and for that person to remain on the premises for the duration of the session.
I have plenty of places for members of the family to be seated comfortably during any sessions, whether it's a parent accompanying their child, or the whole family come along!
Session times will vary from one baby/child to another. I will be able to give some aftercare advice along with some simple techniques to support following the appointment.
I'd love to hear from you if you have any questions about how reflexology could support your child.
